Our Doctor
DMD Dr. Chinea
Dr. Chinea was raised and born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Since he was a child, he always remembered wanting to be a Dentist when he grew up. At 18, he started in the University of Puerto Rico Dental Assistant program with expanded function as a base line to be sure that the dental field was the one for him. Those two years were filled with so much excitement during the process, that after graduation he worked for two years as a dental assistant. Dr. Chinea continued to pursue his passion for dentistry and left his family behind to travel to the Dominican Republic and started attending Dental School at Universidad Central del Este San Pedro de Macoris, giving back many smiles while completing his career as Dentist.
Soon after graduation, Dr. Chinea traveled back to Puerto Rico and finished his studies in Dentistry. He was accepted in the two year Advanced Placement Program School of Dental Medicine for internationally trained Dentists.
Working with patients as a Dentist had always been his dream. His goal is to provide the best personalized treatment for each patient. To him, each patient is unique, and he has a one-patient-at-a-time philosophy, focusing all of his energy on the patient he’s treating. Dr. Chinea strongly encourages preventive care and educates each patient on proper hygiene and diet to promote oral health.
Dr. Chinea’s favorite tip to share is: “Always finish with water, after every meal and snack! It’s a marvelous trick that helps deter cavities and gum disease.”
In his free time, Dr. Chinea enjoys being with his family and friends. He is a beach person and enjoys any outdoor spot or activities. Dr. Chinea lives his life by the following quotes: “Do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do.” I’ll treat each mouth like it’s my own mouth.”
